WineCourse.ie provides wine training and education for every level of enthusiast or professional whether you are a beginner or well experienced and simply needing some revision. WineCourse.ie organise wine courses throughout Ireland aiming to educate and train people about wine in a fun, friendly and informative way.
We will shortly be changing our website to reveal a brand new look, feel & user experience. This will launch mid-September at which stage we will also be introducing a whole new range of courses. These fully accredited courses will be available throughout Ireland! Check back soon, but in the meantime check out our Upcoming Courses section for this Autumns schedule so far.
WineCourse.ie was established by Tom Quinn due to the increasing demand for people to know more about the wines they are drinking. Tom has been involved with wine for many years, from wholesale, including product management and training, to retail, where he has been responsible for product marketing and designing corporate wine packages, to designing and running wine courses, and finally (and most importantly) enjoying wine as a hobby himself!
A WSET (Wines & Spirit Education Trust, London) graduate himself, Tom has taught wine courses for many different bodies around Ireland. He can list The Wine Development Board, Carry Out Off Licence Group, Galway Mayo Institute of Technology, Galway Technical Institute & Galvins Wines & Spirits as current and past clients. Tom has also tutored teams in numerous Hotels & Restaurants around Ireland.
Tom has furthered his knowledge of wines and the industry from planting of vines through to production & bottling by visiting and working with wineries in Australia, New Zealand, Spain & France. Further to this he has also made wine throughout France in Chablis, Champagne and the Languedoc. Tom has written about wine for various local and national media in Ireland and has also contributed to many trade publications.
